looking for the Contact & HELPLINE
numbers of the Leasing Company for their vehicle, scroll down the page.
If you
check your vehicle Funding agreement, take a note of the Leasing OR Funding Company
of
your particular vehicle, and whether maintenance is included in the
agreement (if it is not mentioned then maintenance is to be paid
by yourselves).
To
arrange a service or maintenance
please contact the service
Department of your chosen Main Franchised Dealership appropriate for
your make and model of car. If a
service is required, just take it to the nearest Franchised Main
dealer..........that should also make sure that the manufacturer's
warranty is kept valid. It is vital to
have the vehicle serviced in line with the Manufacturer's recommendations in order to ensure that the manufacturer's
warranty is kept valid for the full
period. As
you'll know, it is vital to have the vehicle serviced in line with the

helps avoids post-contract charges from the Leasing Company.
Maintained
agreement: If your vehicle is on a
maintained agreement ie Maintenance
is at the Leasing Company's expense, let the dealership know at
the time of booking the name of your vehicle's specific Leasing Company (ie
Arval,
Automotive Leasing, Capital
Bank, Grosvenor Contracts, ING Lease,
JCT600, Lex
Vehicle Partners, Lombard,
Lex Autolease (formerly Lloyds
TSB), Ogilvie,
etc), and have
them contact the Funder prior to any works being carried out for prior
approval.
Non-maintained
agreement: If
your vehicle is on a non-maintained agreement ie Maintenance
is at your expense
If
traveling abroad,
please ensure that you
contact the Funder of your particular vehicle around 6
weeks before the date of travel, to allow
sufficient time for the Funder to process the authorisation letter
required for
taking the vehicle abroad.
Breakdown: most
Manufacturers provide some sort of assistance as part of the Warranty
package, for anywhere between 1 - 3 years, depending on the particular
Manufacturer. Details of the Manufacturers number should be in the
handbook.
Glass/windscreen
repairs:
be careful here!! Depending
on what your insurance policy excess is for glass / windscreen repairs,
it may be cheaper for you to instruct these repairs via your insurance.
Some maintained Contract Hire agreements do provide a glass repair number
and service, but these usually end up with you being charged for the full
amount of the work rather than just the excess on your policy.
